Young Adults
Young Adults group Is for young adults age 18 to 27. The group meets on alternate Sundays at a different church members home for dinner and a Bible lesson. It is an excellent way to meet and grow within the church as well as in your own spiritual life. Socials are decided upon by the group and every year there is a youth rally and other events somewhere in Western Canada.
Group Name: Bethel URC Young Adults
Description/Purpose: To study God's purpose for us in this world, with fellow Christians, in order to gain knowledge, grow closer to Christ, and strengthen each other through discussion of His Word.
When do you meet? We try and meet every other Sunday evening from September to May.
Activities: The lessons are done by way of video with discussion sheets and questions that follow. Socials are voted on by the group and occur at people's homes, the church, or other venues in the city.
Where do you meet? Lessons are held at the homes of any member of the congregation who is willing to have us for dinner and a lesson. This has been a wonderful form of fellowship and an excellent way to meet and get to know members from the congregation.
Planned Events: Incredible Race Retreat in Neerlandia July 24-26
2009 YP/YA Conference in Kelowna BC August 31- Sept 4
