Young Adults

Young Adults Group: Is for young adults age 18 to 27. The group meets on alternate Sundays at a different church members home for dinner and a Bible lesson. It is an excellent way to meet and grow within the church as well as in your own spiritual life. Socials are decided upon by the group and every year there is a youth rally and other events somewhere in Western Canada.

Friday Night Bible Study

Our club meets every other Friday from September to April. Each couple takes turns hosting and leading the discussions. The material is generally a study of a book of the Bible but we've also studied topics such as prayer and parenting. We've been both encouraged and challenged in our walk with God through these various studies. We also enjoy the fellowship of each other by having a time of socializing after we finish studying the lesson each week. In addition we typically have social activities which begin and end the year as well as a casual Christmas party.

Ladies Society "TRUST & OBEY"

This society meets every other Thursday in the social room on the third floor of Shalem Manor, 3010 - 51 Street S.W. This group of appoximately 12 ladies gathers from 1:30 - 3:00 pm. We are currently studying the SERMON ON THE MOUNT, based on Matthew 5-7. The meetings are generally well attended with active participation by all, and chaired by individuals within the group. Our ladies are involved with the forwarding of the Seafarer's Christmas boxes on an annual basis, and celebrate special "evenings" during the Easter and Christmas season.
