Sep 16 2009 Men's Bible Study

Why study God's Word? Many people today do not know what is true or false and right or wrong. But the Bible is clear on what is right and how that gives glory to God; and what is wrong and how that is sinful. It applies to the way we Worship, Christian Living, Creation, the Sanctity of Life and Men and Women.

The Bethel URC Men's Bible Study meets every other Tuesday evening at 7:30pm in the Church facility. These Bible Studies provide an opportunity for the respective groups to meet together for fellowship, Biblical instruction and spiritual growth.

On a typical evening, we will read specific scripture texts, answer a series of questions on the text and its themes and engage in a discussion of any relevant items that might be associated with the particualer theme. We usually also have a time of coffee fellowship before study begins and we open and close with prayer.

In years past we have been involved involved in an exciting study of the life of King David as chronicled in 2 Samuel last year. Last year we studied the book of Ephesians. This year we are studying a book entitled "Respectable Sins".

New members are always welcome! We would love to have you join us.
