URGENT UPDATE: Word & Deed Haiti Disaster Relief |
The recent disaster on the island of Haiti has left hundreds of thousands of people devestated and in need of immediate help. Food, water, medical supplies and other life giving assistance is needed. The greater need however remains to bring the good news of Jesus Christ to people who have lost so much.
Bethel URC will be coordinating the collection of needed donations for the Haiti disaster relief with Word and Deed. Word & Deed is an evangelical and Reformed humanitarian aid organization partnering with Christian churches and organizations in the developing world. Their mission is to improve the lives of needy people both physically and spiritually. Word and Deed is currently on the ground in Haiti assessing the situation and beginning a relief effort that will bring much needed aid to the people living there who have been devestated by the recent Earthquake.
